Medicating

Carefully twist the medicine-aerosol into the aerosol-retainer. – If the Equine Haler has been cleaned inside or if it is new, it must be coated inside, by squirting a bit of medicine into the inhaler-flask, before the actual medication starts.
How to use the Equine Haler
- Press the nose mask against one of the nostrils of the horse
- Press one actuation of medicine from the medicine-aerosol into the inhaler-flask.
- Let the horse inhale the vaporised medicine through the nose mask. (Approximately 1-2 breaths)
Alternative
- Press one actuation of medicine from the medicine-aerosol into the inhaler-flask
- Press the nose mask against one of the nostrils of the horse right away
- Let the horse inhale the vaporised medicine through the nose mask. (Approximately 1-2 breaths)

Repeat these procedures in accordance with the veterinarian’s prescription
During medication
- Check that the valve flaps in the medicine-aerosol fold in, when the horse inhales
- Check that the valve flaps in the nose mask fold out, when the horse exhales
It might be a good idea to find the valve flaps on the above picture and then locate them on the Equine Haler itself.
